What is reflexology ?
Reflexology is a gentle, natural treatment that aims to restore balance to the body.
It is based on the principle that certain areas of the feet, hands and face correspond to organs and systems in the body.
This approach has its origins in different cultures:
✽ In Egypt, there is evidence of reflexology practices dating back over 4,000 years.
✽ In China, reflexology is part of traditional Chinese medicine. According to this medicine, energy channels called ‘meridians’ run through the body and are linked to certain organs.
✽ How does it work ?
We have several thousand nerve endings under our skin.
By stimulating these reflex points with specific pressure, we send messages to the brain in the form of electrical signals.
The brain analyses this information and activates self-regulation mechanisms which are transmitted to the various parts of the body concerned.
This is how we promote relaxation, the circulation of energy and the body's self-regulation.
Reflexology is for everyone: babies, children, teenagers, adults and seniors.
A reflexologist does not diagnose or change medical treatment, they help your body to find its balance in a situation of temporary or long-term difficulty.
How does a reflexology session work?
A reflexology session is a special moment for you.
The session begins with a discussion to understand your needs and expectations.
We review your lifestyle, stress levels, sleep quality, physical pain or tension, current mood, energy levels and medical history.
You are then comfortably installed, lying on a massage table, dressed, with relaxing music playing in the background.
Whatever type of reflexology you choose, I always start the session with relaxing movements, before stimulating the reflex zones that are best suited to your situation.
After the session, we take a moment to discuss your feelings, and I share some recommendations with you.
A single session is enough to bring about deep relaxation, but regular support can produce lasting results.

Duration of a session
The first session, including the discussion time, generally lasts between 1h15 and 1h30.
Nest sessions last 1 hour.
A session for children lasts 40 minutes.

Workshops
I regularly organise themed workshops with a relaxation therapist and a specialist in essential oils. To find out more, follow me on Instagram.
I also offer parent/child workshops, to teach parents the areas to massage on their young children's or babies' feet to relieve everyday aches and pains.
Reflexology stimulates blood and lymph circulation and is not recommended in cases of thrombosis, phlebitis, serious heart problems, untreated hypertension or epilepsy, fever or unstabilised diabetes.
If you are pregnant, it is advisable to wait until the end of the 1st trimester.
Doctor's agreement is needed in the case of cancer.

I am Anne Saussard
After a career in banking, where I enjoyed the human contact, I realised that what motivated me most of all was to bring support and well-being to others.
I then felt the need to turn to a profession more in line with this aspiration.
In 2017, my expatriation to China led me to discover an approach to health where prevention and balance between body and mind are essential.
This new vision left a lasting impression on me and made me want to explore a different way of taking care of myself.
A memory came to mind: those moments when, as a child, I would watch my mother massaging her feet in the evening, and those when, in turn, I would take care of my daughter's feet before she went to sleep.
A simple gesture, but full of well-being and comfort.
